The KUHN Knight PS 270 ProSpread® apron box manure spreader is a high-capacity, non-commercial spreader designed for feeder, cow/calf, and dairy operations that process a wide array of semi-solid and solid materials. This machine pairs superior look and build with performance and is backed by rigorous testing and user feedback. A 10-degree sidewall flare provides greater capacity while still maintaining ease of loading and unit maneuverability. A heavy-duty guillotine gate delivers greater metering capability and material flow management. Choose between VertiSpread® vertical beaters and the AccuSpread® spinner module to best fit the needs of your operation. Improved beater location provides an enhanced spreading pattern by streamlining material flow from the apron to the beaters.

All-Steel, Welded ConstructionAn all-steel construction provides the backbone and solid framework for these spreaders. This simple, yet effective design keeps the sides and beater panels aligned for the life of the machine. The all-welded construction includes a reinforced tongue that pulls directly from the axle for added strength and durability. An A-frame assembly keeps the sides and beater panels correctly aligned for strong box integrity. A round-tube bottom, on the rear, promotes self-cleaning by helping prevent material breakup.
Sidewall FlareThe sidewall flare provides greater heaping capacity without increasing the overall size of the machine. This makes the unit easier to load with the wider flotation tires. This design also allows the sidewalls to be supported by fewer, yet stronger exterior uprights. The box is constructed with 10-gauge steel to ensure a strong box sidewall.
Center-Mounted DrivelineThis simple design eliminates the need for extra chains and sprockets that are necessary for a side-mounted driveline. This simple design uses high-quality sealed bearings to provide reliable power delivery with lower maintenance requirements. The driveline is located underneath the unit, thus reducing the possibility of damage during loading.
Dual-Apron DesignTo ensure quality and dependability the PS 270 is equipped with a dual apron which helps to distribute the load more evenly. The 667 XH pintle apron chain provides increased strength with ease of maintenance and is accompanied by heavy-duty, self-cleaning sprockets welded to a 2” steel shaft. The dual apron features offset 1 ½” x 2” steel slats which provide more consistent feeding of material. The dual apron also offers increased rigidity and longevity for both apron chains and slats. A hydraulic-driven, direct-drive gearbox provides reliable power with low maintenance.
